Even though Vista is a more secure, some people feel as it hassles them too much, with it's security feature called UAC. When you are going to make a system settings change, or to install a software, or to update your antivirus program, the UAC will prompt you for administrative permission. Even though this is a security feature, some people find it cumbersome. So in Windows 7 Microsoft has reduced the instances that the UAC flashes prompts.
